The ranch has sandy soils with several varieties of grasses. Predominate grasses on the ranch are Blue Grama, Side Oats Grama, Sand Drop Seed and Little Blue Stem.

Located between Tucumcari and Logan, New Mexico and back north of Hwy 54 on Mine Canyon Road is the “12 Shores Development” which adjoins the north side of the area of the ranch situated on the west side of Mine Canyon Road.

“12 Shores Development” adjoins the south side of Ute Lake.
